I live in a barn in East Tennessee on the south side of Knoxville. I moved from Colorado where I was born and raised and lived for a long time.

I am inspired and supercharged by living near and in nature, where the fabric of humanity is interwoven with its outdoor landscapes.

I learned the craft of photography in elementary school but didn't call myself a professional until the last decade or so, when I was in my 40s and had already pursued two other careers.

I've traveled a lot, capturing stories on all seven continents. I can sleep on the ground or in a nice hotel. I know how to eat with my hands and drive on the left side of the road. I can carry my bike on my back for eight hours straight or sit with new friends, drinking Croatian schnapps all night.

I am open-hearted, endlessly curious, and have big hope. I have a unique gift for connecting with people, building trust, and creating a space where stories naturally unfold. And while I love a good plan, my experience has taught me that the biggest lessons and the best images come from the most unscripted moments.

Let’s do wild things and feel alive.
